Ali's Page

Ali took a bit of a break from handling, but has re-entered the ring with a storm in 2003. Competing in tough Texas competition, she's managed to accumulate 1 Best Junior, 4 Reserve Best Junior, 2 Altered Winners Dog, and 3 Altered Reserve Winners Dog awards in just 2 weekends with our chubby red guy "Keno" (Hidden Lanes Count Me In, AKC/ASCA CD). We're looking for Ali and Keno to continue to do well as she works toward making the 500 Club this year!

Ali's 2nd show and already a winner! She took 1st in Novice Junior under Judge Pat Edmondson at the NW Texas ASC show in Austin in August, 1997. Pictured with ASCA/AKC Ch. On Saturday, February 12, 2000, Ali took Reserve Junior under ASCA breeder Judge Debra Gower at the Eastex Sweetheart Classic in College Station showing Ratchy, (CanAm's Richard the Lionhearted) owned by our good friend Bonnie Thomas of Bon Chance Australian Shepherds.

Two weeks later Ali and Ratchy took Best Junior under ASCA Sr. Breeder Judge Becky DeLeon at the TASA Millenium Madness show in Austin on Friday night.

On Saturday she took Best Junior out of Novice and over an Open Junior with ASCA/AKC/USASA Ch. Sandridge's Opal of Skye-Mar, NA, CGC, TDI under ASCA Sr. Breeder Judge Charmaine Melton. Opal is owned by another very special friend, Lisa Marshall of Skye-Mar Kennels, and is the dam of our special blue boy, Skye-Mars 'ThunderOnTheMountn', AKC/ASCA CD, CGC.

On a very sad note, this was Opal's last show. In October, 2000, Opal lost her battle wtih age in the loving arms of her owner/handler & lifelong pal Lisa Marshall.

We miss you Opal!

Moving up to Open on Sunday didn't stop her! She took Best Junior with Ratchy under AKC Judge John Lucas.

July brought more wins for Ali in Junior Showmanship. On July 5, 2000 at the HOTASC show in College Station she took Best Junior under Breeder Judge Pat Latchnitt handling SkyeMars 'ThunderOnTheMountn, AKC/ASCA CD, CGC

Ali again showed Ratchy in College Station at the New Hope ASCA show on Friday, December 1, 2000 taking Reserve Junior under UKC Judge Sam Royal.
